OLTL is jumping back now and are bringing back the original actresses who played Tina and Marty!!!!!
OLTL completely jumped the shark with the loss of Roger Howarth. The new actor doesn't do Todd justice! I haven't watched it since Howarth left and won't watch until he comes back. I sorely miss Todd and his amazing, tormented personality. Roger Howarth is the ONLY Todd Manning.
I have to agree the Musical was Terrilbly Boring and awful singing What were they thinking on that one. I wish they would bring back Roger Howarth as Todd he played him so well, this new Todd is boring and dosen't get into the real Todd Manning role play, at times I might say he does like when he was going to get executed he did awesome on that scene but i guess it's whom ever OLTL wants to have. Happy Watching All
To me, the defining Jump the Shark moment happened when Roger Howarth was replaced by a new actor (sorry-- not sure of his name) for the character of Todd. I think the new Todd is absolutely dull! Roger Howarth was actually convincing in the role-- you could see in his face that the "gears were turning" and he was dreaming up new excuses and ways of getting his way. At the same time, he presented Todd as someone who you couldn't help but like somehow. And Howarth even made Todd slightly comedic! I stopped watching shortly after the new actor was introduced. Sometimes I tune in just to see if maybe this new actor has breathed more life into Todd, but I've so far been disappointed. Used to be my favorite show. It seems to have gone downhill for this, and several other, reasons.
Well i stared watching oltl beacuse of the prom night i loved and i've watched it since. i went to soap week with my parents adn my mom excused me of screaming lol. its a amazing show and i also stared watching it beacasue the charcter micheal mcbain (naithenial marston) is my friends cousin.
When Todd turned to hero. Let me see, rapist/bully/murderer Todd is nauseatingly sold as a heroic family man? Yes, people need another chance, but Todd the hero? Aaaw, hes not fat or nerdy or whatever, he is "handsome" and thus can do serious crimes? HE IS FILTHY PIG WITH GOOD BOD! He has not any excuses for his crimes - he pretended mentally ill, but he was not - just FILTHY PERVERT! Gawd!
One Life to Live took a major nose-dive when it took the gang to mythical underground city, ETERNA. One Life to Live stabbed ITSELF in the back waaaay back when - when they turned crumudgeon Victor Lord into a child-molesting monster. But the straw that REALL broke the camel's back was when Failed Port Charles Vampire Caleb Morley changed his name to John McBain and began masquerading as a cop in Llanview! MICHAEL EASTON began hogging ALL of the air time. All of a sudden, John McBain was in EVERY story. Everybody's favorite police commissioner - Bo Buchanan - began taking a back seat not matter WHAT crime was being investigated in town! Major EMMY winner ERIKA SLEZAK began putting in only TOKEN appearances! And, last, but not least, AFTER Michael Easton had finished negotiating a new, hard-nosed contract - OLTL suddenly started cutting their veteran staff! DAN GAUTHIER and HEATHER TOM were dropped from the cast. But the WORST result of Michael Easton's shiny new contract was the loss of PHIL CAREY as Asa Buchanan! PHIL CAREY is a multi-talented performer whose career has spanned decades. Many well known stars, such as Rock Hudson, Donna Reed, Lee Marvin and Kim Novack - were INTRODUCED in movies which STARRED Phil Carey! PHIL CAREY romanced leading ladies such as DORIS DAY and BARBARA STANWYCK! One Life to Live should have been so HONORED that Phil Carey spent so many years on their show that they would have offered PHIL CAREY the sun, the moon and the Stars to get him to stay. Instead, OLTL kicked the multi-talented Phil Carey to the curb without so much as a backward glance! One Life to Live, along with the OTHER ABC soaps - have been losing viewers in DROVES for several years now. That is because ALL of the FAILED policies which caused Port Charles to lose ONE MILLION viewers within a couple of years have been exported out to ALL of ABC's still remaining soaps! The only REAL contest on ABC soaps these days is guessing WHICH ABC soap will be the next show (or shows) which is borrowed from prime time. Sincerely, Audrey Hamilton
This show was awesome during the prom night!!! I loved it and anyone who didnt isnt a turn lover of this show!!!! everything was cute and i am soooooooooo happy that cole and starr are bac together!!!!!!!
I agree that the whole prom night musical event was when the show jumped the shark. Nobody could sing, the songs were distasteful and the wardrobe was atrocious. The whole time it was going on I totally stopped watching. Did the writers actually think this was going to work? I just think this show needs alot of work if it wishes to remian in the abc daytime lineup.
the max and luna gambling storyline was
awful.no one gets a gambling problem
overnight.and max used to have a brain
and how could Blair lead him around by
the nose so easily.gambling problem or
not, max should have seen right through
Blair.it's hard to believe that max would be so stupid as to listen to a
woman who threw him over for money

i liked prom night the musical and i am glad that cole and starr are together and i hope that cole doesn't kill starr's dad because then he will not be with starr anymore
Oh,noooooo....Prom Night, the Musical has finally made OLTL jump the final shark - that has to be the WORST display of bad talent that I have ever seen/heard. The writing of the "musical" numbers was so bad - the lyrics were awful - and the singing - OH NOOOOOOO! Can ANYONE carry a tune?? HELLO!!! I feel embarassed for the actors that they were put through this ridiculous exercise. The shark has now swallowed this show whole!
I agree! Jumped with Prom Night The Musical. I just watched 15 minutes of that and had to turn it off. First of all, if I want to see a musical, I'd see a Broadway show. At least then, the acting, dancing, and singing would be worthy of an audience. Second, if you wanted us to do anything other than cringe or laugh, then you failed with this idea. I'd rather sit through my nephew's elementary school talent show again. (And that featured a group of kids doing the Chicken Dance!) You just know the actors were counting the days until that horrible mess was over! Yes, many of the cast are thespians of the theater. Great! That's why I watch OLTL, because they are actually talented actors. But no more singing and dancing PLEASE!!!
