I just watched Newport Harbor -

If there was ever any doubt that this show and others like it is not scripted, all doubt has been removed watching Clay and Grant interact. No straight guys communicate like this. Picking out clothes for a party and saying 'that's cute'. Hanging out by the pool gently splashing each other??? Guys just don't do this stuff.
Although he's a player, Chase is def my fave guy. I know Ally wants Clay right now, but I'm hoping she and Chase get together. The fact that he broke up with Taylor last year to be with Ally and she hurt him makes me feel for him.
Clay loses points for blaming Chrissy for her dad's behavior. It's not her fault. If you really like her, be understanding. Clay was hanging out with Ally in the 1st ep, so he can't get angry and Chrissy for doing the same with Chase.
Although he's a player, Chase is def my fave guy. I know Ally wants Clay right now, but I'm hoping she and Chase get together. The fact that he broke up with Taylor last year to be with Ally and she hurt him makes me feel for him.

So far, I like this show much better than the 3rd season of Laguna Beach (what a bunch of losers they were). Right now, I'm rooting for a Chrissy/Clay union, but Allie doesn't seem like such a bad girl yet. So who knows.
