I LOVED this show & I miss it. I thought Mitch Mullany was SO cute as Nick Freno & he still is. It was great until the 2nd season then it went straight to hell, man. I was only 11 when the show came out & haven't seen it since it was cancelled. I hope pretty soon,it will finally come to DVD or at least be put in syndication. I hope Mitch Mullany or Portia DeRossi will try to make either thing happen since it made them famous(they were SO cute as Nick & Elana).
This show's legacy is that to this day, you hear producers fretting about their show's ratings falling below the "Freno Line." That comes from the fact that this was consistently the lowest-rated show on prime-time network television during the entire course of its run.

This show was awful from day one. However, I have to comment on the second season. It seemed to me, that the WB tried to turn this show into a clone of another show it had at the time "The Steve Harvey show." Only problem is, that it did not have the talented cast that the Steve Harvey show had. And the WB went out of its way to make this show a hit, but it constantly moved the superior Steve Harvey show to different timeslots. While the Steve Harvey show gets an A, this show gets an F.
This was a GREAT show during its first season at Gerald Ford Middle School, and the 6th graders were the best. I was in 8th grade when this show first aired, and I actually have 5 episodes on tape from the 1st season. When the format changed, the 6th graders were dropped, and the show went to high school, I went the other way. By then, I was a freshman in high school, but I was no longer interested.
