I wish they brought back the slime shows andall these crappy shows the Mighty Bee, Teenage Robot, or Kappa Mikey. The N has some good shows like um Drake and Josh and soon to be Thats 70's Show.
I also think that Nick lost it's foundationn when Nick studios was closed in 2005.
I hate to say it, but Nickelodeon needs to die. It's just not worth watching anymore. All of the shows suck. There is also NO MORE SLIME!!!!
You can't have Nickelodeon without slime!!!!! It's like having a chili dog without chili! I just can't work! Now I absolutly loved the old school Nickelodeon with Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Doug, All That, Kenan and Kel, Legends of the hidden temple, Are you afraid of the dark?, Alex Mack, Pete and Pete, etc.
But It slipped after those shows were gone!!! I also think that Nick jumped alot when Nick studios in Orlando.
That was like the foundation for Nick where Slime time live, LOTHT, Gullah Gullah Island and more were filmed. As for that classic Nick channel, we'll see how long until they start running random recent and current crap shows! Just like N@N was supposed to play the classics, but look at them now!!!
I don't trust the networks anymore.
They say they'll play certain shows, and they do--for a while.
The Classic Nick Channel COMING IN 2009!!
I checked Wikipedia again and Nickelodeon GUTS is coming to N@N in july '08. I'm not even gonna blow up because as bad as N@N has gotten, that kind of thing is to be expected now. Oh and thank you very much Wacker Place for responding to me!!!
Another sign that N@N is getting tied in with Nick is the fact that they are both hosting Jam Packed June.
They are also saying on Nick that they are welcoming Family Matters. N@N should be saying that!!! Not Nick!!!
Dear Angry TV Nerd,

I will do the honors of commenting on the complete list of the Nick at Nite catalog of shows. I did not start watching NatN until 1992. A lot of people were just getting cable then and prime time was starting to junp the shark.
80s NatN was great but I would have to refer to YouTube to check it out. Indeed they change with the times. What's wrong with that is this. They are catering to the lowest common denominator. That's always been a mystery to us. They could continued their classic format today.
When you think about it, the shows that Nick currently airing were not all that long ago. At the time those shows were in production, Nick was a different channel. It definetly makes you homesick.
I don't watch a lot of TV these days for obvious reasons. That's because I (like many) have a good and growing DVD collection of shows like Bewitched, I Love Lucy, etc. Of course, YouTube is always an option. I have also started a new tradition by devoting a Friday and Saturday to watching shows that were part of the 80s NatN.
One final note, I loved the graphics and presentation of NatN from the 80s through the late 90s. At the beginning of each show (Taxi for example), the episode number and a brief summary were given. The announcer (who is he) had a great voice and I will always keep in my heart while growing up watching, "Very, very Nick at Nite." By the way, I jumped ship in 2003 after Nick's last resort. I was about to jump off the boat in 2001 after I Love Lucy and company went to Crap Land. Because Nick for a short while had Head of the Class and Perfect Strangers, I spent March through August with my last exposure to Nick at Nite.
2003 was a great year for me personally and I spent cherishing it. Again, when those shows were first on, I think about what Nick was like. Those were better days for us.
Hey come on now!! It took me like an hour to type that Nick at Nite programming list!!! Please comment on it!!! And not just a "That's cool!"
But something like "Wow That's alot of shows!! I miss the old lineup!!!"
Thank You!!!

Im sorry to break it all to you, but Nickelodeon never jumped the shark. They have simply changed to 'meet the times', the '80's' were 'You can't do that on television' 'David the Gnome', and 'Eureka's Castle', the '90's' were 'Doug' and 'The Adventures of Pete and Pete' and it appears that the '00's' generation likes 'Naked Brother Bands' and 'Zoey 101'. Sadly 'Rocko's Modern Life', 'The Ren and Stimpy show' and 'Ahh Real Monsters' have been out of production for over 10 years, and they are never 'Bringing them back for new episodes'. Even if the miracle would happen, it's 98% certain the shows would stink, (New writers, New Voices, Different Animation, etc.) And the show would 'Jump the Shark' anyway.(I think they did bring back 'Ren and stimpy', and it tried way too hard to be gross and funny). I would like DVD's of all the old shows however, (so far only Ren and Stimpy has been, but the episodes have been sadly edited like hell (pardon), some may never be made however, like Kablam's dvd may never be made due to many different people making the shorts (copyrights ya know), and Doug also, due to Disney buying him. (same thing) I think they should experiment with Season 1 DVD's of these shows, and see how they sell, like they did with 'Clarissa Explains it All'. Anyway's, you just outgrew the channel, It doesn't suck, it's just not aimed at you anymore, find something else to watch, like 'Law and Order', or 'King of the Hill'. Heck, in another 5-10 years, people will probably be coming to this site saying 'I miss Dora the Explorer!', '2010 Nick sucks!' or '00's Nick all the way'.

Anyways, a few things that did hurt 1. Nick not giving their shows a chance, (like they did with stuff like 'the x's'). 2-Spongebob...he was a good show, but he has become nicks 'little baby' he jumped himself a long time ago, and everything is spongebob now, and it just sucks. Hes probably the awnser to why nick cans everything after a season and a half now. 3.i agree that Nick at nite sucks. Tv land is still good, but it shows too much 'Bonanza', and whatnot. BUT BUY MORE SHOWS FOR NICK AT NITE NICKELODEON!!!!!!!! sorry, i had to vent.. lol
When they started milking the cash cow dry on their popular shows ie. RUGRATS, DORA THE EXPLORER, SPONGEBOB, FARILY ODDPARENTS. (Rugrats, FOP and SBSP are so corny now, they are to the point where they are unwatchable, guess Nick doesn't care, as long as they make $$$$) and made the new shows get canned after two seasons ie. CATSCRATCH, MARTIN MYSTERY. Guess these shows didnt rake in enough cash for the greedy a55 channel.
Was there ever a law that Nick couldn't say the word DEAD?
I remember alot of people saying that Nick doesn't say that. Dead is not a bad wor to use, unless they were trying not to scare little kids. I have heard them use the word DEAD several times on Nick, so it must not be a law. But ofcoarse TV is getting more and more filled with stupidity, so naturaly saying DEAD is in.
when it became the spongebob channel. coz hes all they show now, besides just a few shows. all other new shows come on the nicktoons network thus canning all the old stuff. and making spong the only show on reguler nick and spongbob used 2 be a good show butt nik rouined that 2 nick sux
