"Do you realize that you jiggle when you're mad?"

Long live Dan Fielding!
I wish they'd kept Ellen Foley. Markie Post had a great body but that's all I can really say about her. She's didn't leave any impression on me; just another Hollywood rent-a-blonde. But Ellen Foley has one of those faces you'd never forget in a thousand years. Why did they fire her?
I thought John Laroquette (sp?) was very funny as Dan, but he was still overrated. I stopped watching when it all became the 'Dan Fielding/Christine's Pregnancy' Show.
According to IMDB he's about 57 years old, so while not ancient, he's no kid either. (Good Lord, has NC really been that long ago?!) More than likely, just a case of someone not aging too well--I've seen some recent photos of him, and he looks like he's put on quite a bit of weight, I'm guessing it's just normal aging and possibly not being in great physical shape rather than illness or substance abuse.
Does anyone out there know if Harry Anderson had been seriously ill recently? I'm not kidding, I saw him live not too long ago in Vegas, and he looked awful. Really old and bloated, like he'd been sick (or drinking heavily). I know Night Court dates back a few years, but he was pretty young when he did that show, wasn't he? He just looked really really old, older than I would think he actually is. Kind of a shame, I used to think he was sort of cute.
I loved the line the abraisive blind woman had: "I'm not physically challenged! A bear on roller skates is physically challenged! I'm BLIND!"

Dialogue like that helped to make 'Night Court' a classic.
I don't get why so many of the posters seem to dislike Harry Anderson so much. He always seemed to be a pretty decent guy as far as I could tell. Not an actor of great range (if you've seen 'It', you'll know what I mean), but as a likeable laid-back personality pretty much playing himself, he came across well, and there's nothing wrong with that, as long as the performer doesn't get a big ego and try to do things way beyond his abilities. Which he never did on 'Night Court' IMHO. Yes, he put some stamp of his personality on the character, but show me a star of any long running series who doesn't do that. And he did it way less than many I could think of. Lay off Harry, he seems cool.
I'm with dalisonion. Ellen Foley didn't need enormous hooters to be hot.

And Markie Post wasn't hot with them. Too 'Little Orphan Annie' for me, I guess.
I don't care what anyone say's,the only reason to watch the show is to oggle Markie's giant hooters
Ellen Foley was so hot she could've melted a brick wall. Markie Post was just no comparison; Harry and Ellen getting it on I can easily imagine. Harry and Markie? No way, Jose.

When Florence Halop passed. Selma Diamond was great, but Flo was even funnier. That big tank they brought in to replace her just couldn't measure up to either of the comedy goddesses she replaced.
Sweet Mother of Moses---Every time I see that Markie Post poster, I have to wack off. I am now officially "bone" dry!
An Answer To The "We're..Gonna...Miss
...You..." Question. Selma's successor
Florence died rather suddenly in
July 1986. The show was in summer re-runs. Episode #50, "The Apartment"
original airdate 01/30/86, was re-run as scheduled. At show's end, they DID
show a picture of Florence, and off screen Harry Anderson sadly read "We're gonna miss you, Flo.": (this moment is not included in syndication). However, the season four opener, "The Next Voice You Hear", episode #58, Harry does tell Christine "When Selma died, I felt loss...when Florence died, I felt loss..." and he talks about how both were always there for him. Not an entire episode like Selma, but a touching moment, and that IS included in syndication.
For Gods sake, will someone PLEASE buy the poster of Markie Post Amazon is splashing on EVERY page on this site! I mean she looks good and all but MAN its getting stale!
