show was amazing, and original!
one of the funniest shows ever. i hope it will be on dvd one day.
To truely know how funny Nightstand is...just reading other people's posts about their favorite episodes is making me laugh. This show NEVER EVER jumped. As people have mentioned it, of all of the crappy shows already out on DVD how Nightstand isn't on there is a travesty. I mean...even Son Of A Beach is on DVD and that's no where NEAR as funny as Nightstand. My all time favorite line...hahahaha - just laughing thinking about it! - from Dick's episode on Super Sexy Teenage Models. Dick was interviewing the German fashion designer and he had the an ex-model who's now fat as a guest on-stage. So she says "Dick, when I look in the mirror I see a beautiful girl." Audience applause. And then the designer comes back with "Well darling, you must live in a funhouse!" HAHAHAHAHA. He goes onto say "What? Should I tell girls it's okay to have a charge account at KFC?" HAHAHAHAHA - Oh my gawd *wiping away the tears* Somebody bring back Nightstand - PLEASE!
If you make them, they will sell!!! Please, please, please, please, please, make them for a reasonable price. Unsurpassed inuendo and humor. The only thing that comes reasonably close to this project, in humor, is MXC. You can get them on DVD.
Used to watch on an old black and white TV at the warehouse we worked at prior to delivering Sunday morning newspapers.

Never jumped the shark.

Best promo for one of the shows: "Are American males obsessed with breasts? We'll find out in the first on an eighteen part series!"
The one night stand reunion show was one of the best episodes.
"Okay Muffy, let's dive right into it."

Oh, people, people... no....

This show is in my top 5 comedies with Seinfeld, South Park, Simpson's and Cheers.

NEVER JUMPED!!!
I sure wish they'd sell the Night Stand series in a DVD box set. My favorite episode (might have been Blowup in a Brothel) where a sleezy massage parlor owner is being scrutinized by a local woman wanting to expose it as a house of prostitution. So Dick has one of the young oriental "employees" demonstrate on him her massage skills. She begins by starting to get onto the table with Dick and asks 'You not a cop, are you?'.
It's a shame that this show will never make it to DVD! I watched this all the time when it was on the air. In my opinion, it's one of the funniest shows ever shown on television.
Hi ! Make the dvds Thank you.
ik wil deze site graag in het nederlands ik kan nog geen engels :_| goetjes uit montfoort van iemand die geen e-mail heeft.
This show NEVER EVER jumped. Dick Dietrich was such a likable loser. My favorite episode was when he was hiding out in the local bar because the local feminist group was out to get him. Also, it was The Amazing ANDY, not Larry as someone else posted. And as Dick would have said, Everyone knows how much I like to jump a shark. Oh, People. People...
NEVER JUMPED! My roommate and I used to watch this show religiously on Sunday nights in college - we loved it. Then when I moved to this town, I met someone who just casually said, "People, people!" at happy hour one night... we bonded over Dick Dietrick. What a great show.
This show was cleverly written and well acted. Night Stand never got near the shark tank. My favorite character was Amazing Larry (Nigel from Crossing Jordan). Over the top acting at its best.
I think it jumped when they had Hamilton George on the show. At that point it really lost its "could this be real?" edge for me, and I wasn't as impressed with it as a scripted or semi-scripted show. Still a great one to watch.
