I happened to have really enjoyed the show. I am a nurse and saw it as depicting some young women from all walks of life trying to better themselves and chose nursing as a venue to do that. Also be sure and do your research before stating that "not any of those bouncing aerobic......."
B'lana Torres of Voyager was one of those bouncing babes using the name Roxanna Biggs(her married name at the time)

This show performed a valuable service. Remember that some high school boys didn't have access to video porn, so this was the best we could get.
This was an incredibly stupid show from the late '80's. It only lasted a few months and, starring Suzanne Pleshette and Gil Gerard, was TV at its worst...Or was it? Nubile, young student nurses... usually wearing little more than lingerie or a towel... man, those chicks were hot! BEST SHOW EVER!!!
Sexist and stupid. The so-called student nurses on this show did almost NO nursing, and seemed to spend all their time in their underwear. Suzanne Pleshette was the only good thing about this show, but even she couldn't save it. And I hated "Pony Girl" also!
The only way to enjoy this show was to tape it then FFWD through all the mawkish soapy plots. .and FREEZE FRAME the obligatory aerobics scene every episode! I'll bet there were bars where one man would be forced to sit in the backroom to watch it until he yelled ' AEROBICS'! Then the bar would switch on their HUGE screen TV while all the guys got off on these hot babes bouncing up down while getting sweaty in skimpy clothing!;~) What REALLY made it jump, though, was that one of the student nurses was trying to regain custody of her preschool daughter that her mother had raised while she stayed bombed. Anyway, EVERY single episode the kid appeared, she, her mother or some other character would sing this song called 'Pony Girl'! Even when they weren't actually singing it, strains of it would be used for background music the WHOLE time the girl was onscreen! ARRGH!!;~( It's ironic that of ALL the people who were regulars on that show, only Suzanne Pleshette and NOT any of those bouncing aerobic babes that anyone remembers or has had steady work since!
