Shark Bytes
Deliciously obscure cartoon that never jumped. I liked Pinky's troublemaking and the way Sandy had to hide her secret friends from that one suspicious friend she used to hang out with (I think his name was Mark?). Nice colorful animation, too, which to me is just as important as the plots. I sure miss the old Nickelodeon shows, e.g. Pinwheel, Eureka's Castle, You Can't Do That On Television, and can only wish they were cost-effective enough to be sold on DVD.
I swear, no one that I ever talked to knew what I was on about when I described this show to them, it was as if it were a "false memory", but this is the first cartoon I ever remember watching / enjoying when I was a kid.
I hunted this down though. For a brief period I was convinced that what I'd watched was Adventures of the Little Koala and had simply fabricated the bits about a little red-headed girl. Weird that there were two shows about koalas, but anyway...
Great show, never jumped the shark!

Great show, never jumped the shark!
noozles rule!! i watched it everyday after preschool. we even taped a lot of the episodes. i want DVD'S!!!
I'm 18 yrs old and remember the amazing adventures they had. I loved the Noozles and still do. I still have my VHS that I've almost worn out. I really hope they come out with DVDs soon. I'm desperate.
I was a fan of this show like many. I'm 25 and I loved watching this show during Nick Jr's Anime obsession. For once we got the better opening than the original Japanese I think. That was a great era for kids young and old though. I used to love Noozles and Blinky Bill, the Little Bits, David the Gnome, Maya the Bee, etc. I'm amazed though that so few people seemed to have watch this show overall that those who did question even seeing the show or are told that no such show exists. It's very strange. You can find more people with the same experience if you go on youtube. Many people uploaded the opening.
Noozles never jumped! No way. Sandy, Blinky, and Pinky were always on some sort of crazy adventure. My sister and I used to watch this show every day, and even then, it stood far out from the rest of the animated series of the time as something magical, and really worth watching. Like others, I'm sure, I can't wait for the DVDs. I've ordered a ton of VHS tapes off ebay, but they're all recorded in the "EP" mode, which looks terrible. Even so, I love watching Noozles just as much now as I did then, and I'm 29!
this show is kiddie-crack.
even when i watch it now, i get this euphoric feeling, far beyond nostalgia. just goes to show that simple production quality doesn't ruin a good story with great characters and a ton of soul - in fact, it can sometimes add to it.
and the music rocked.
where are the frickin dvds already?!

I absolutely loved this show. No one ever knows what I am talking about. No I have found people that believe me.
Noozles were the bestest! I loved this show. I wish they would put it back in syndication or on DVD!
"The Adventures of the Little Koala" and "The Noozles". Back in the day, there was no dragging me away from the set during the koala hour.
I don't think this show ever jumped the shark. It was an entity of its own, a very positive show that was steeped in fantasy but also portrayed real feelings in its characters. The animation was simple yet very colorful and fun! I also found the voices very appealing!
This show never 'jumped the shark.' On the contrary, this show was very special to me as a child. I remember back when this show was on the air on Nickelodeon in the very early 1990s. I was seven or eight years old at the time. My memories of it are very vague to this day, but I distinctly remember its significance in my early life, as well as the other shows in Nickelodeon's cache of tv programs like Eureka's Castle and others. I wish that I could come across this show again someday and relive the experience. As I've forgotten most of the plot, I would enjoy relearning the world of Sandy and those two adorable koalas. I've seen reviews of this show and at the time I'm writing this, I can see that almost all who submit something say that it never jumped the shark. This I agree with. I think this show was cut short and should be revitalized somehow. Nickelodeon is what has jumped the shark if it has decided to show the programs it is these days.
