I never saw the show when Jerry was on it, but I can tell you that he never cheated on Judge Judy. : / where'd you get that from? They had a divorce, but it was for another reason. But he must have been not too much of a great judge since he only lasted on the People's Court for two seasons before he was replaced
I love Judge Marilyn! I think the worst one ever was Judge Jerry. At least his wife Judge Judy manages to be fun and entertaining while being caustic. He was just pure vitriol without any redeeming quality.
I remember once he barked at the parents of a 10 or 11 year old because on the night in question they enjoyed a cocktail or two with friends "You have children! You shouldn't ever be drinking at all!" Or words to that effect. PLEASE!!!

Regarding the earlier question about the judge's language ability, I have seen Judge Milian speak unrehearsed Spanish at least twice that I recall. Both times she was questioning witnesses. I don't know Spanish, but she definitely had no problems speaking or understanding their responses. The first time, I believe the show ran subtitles over her words. The second time, I recall she reiterated the witnesses words in English.
