Most of the cars belong to suburban white kids because the crime rate is almost negligible.

It's a good show with good humor. Some of those cars are so wild, I wonder how "happy" some of those kids are when they see what happened.

Good show - but the commercials that run during the show jumped on day one. Those MTV commercials make the show almost intolerable.

That show was do fake. You can almost tell that those cars were straight from the dump and didn't really belong to those kids. Either that or the kids f'ed their cars up on purpose.

And has anyone noticed how 90% of the contestants were suburban white kids. I'm not racist or anything, but there's something fishy about that.

I am the girl who had her 55 Bel Air pimped...and thank you for the compliment! I am very happy with the car and we didn't need a new engine. Believe it or not that engine was dropped in ten years before, it is a 350 from a sixties Corvette. It runs GREAT now with the new carb. We drive that car all the time and everywhere. People are surprised to see us at Safeway loading groceries in the trunk, but hey, we didn't lie, it IS one of our daily drivers.

Has EVERYONE else sold their pimped cars? That's sad, we will never sell ours!

I am desperate to have my 1993 Chevy conversion van pimped. What do I have to do to be chosen for this.
I need my ride pimped due to the fact I am on SSDI and the vans a/c is dead, the inside is old, its not pretty to look at, and needs much work. I also know that I will never have the money to have my own horse ranch with motorcross track so I thought it would be nice to have my van look like one on the outside, and livable on the inside.
Please help me pimp my ride!!!!!!!

Jumped when the coffee was brought to the meeting to conceive the premise of this show. But it is entertaining at times. When they changed most of the crew it went downhill. Favorite pimpmobile - the tiny little Daihatsu van that could probably fit inside an Econonline. I think it was an 87, I dont see how he could legally have that thing on the road.

Sinking 200 grand into fixing up somebody's beat up old car is one of the biggest wastes of money I have ever seen. The show is enjoyable but PLEASE! As other posters have stated, why a car needs about 10 tv's all over it is beyond me. Also, I saw in one show where somebody's car had bubbles blowing out the back. Remind me not get behind them on the highway.

What is progress? TV being rid of MTV!

Have you ever noticed that when the car belongs to a woman they always use colors like pink, lilac, etc.. or they use fake diamonds or something like that. I also like it when someone says that they use their car or van to transport they friends or other things and they pimp the car in a manner that makes most of the space unusable, that's awesome.

I think how they "pimp" the cars looks cool, but a lot of it is unrealistic. I guess they aren't afraid of getting robbed LOL

My favorite episode is also what made me stop watching. The car they remade was an old Chevy Caprice police cruiser. So, what did they do? They painted it yellow. Yellow. Yellow.

Now, instead of a police car, it's a taxi.

I think i stopped watching when i saw them do the dumbest, most ill-thought out thing ever: a car for a 20 something who drives her little sisters to school and goes for groceries with her car. they made the backseat into a gaudy pimp couch, making the backseat totally unusable for seating. Even worse, the idiot didn't even care! Also, the fact that most of the original mods they do have no utility. you do not need 3 inch lcd's just below your headlights.
