Shark Bytes
This was always one of my faves when i was younger. Ninjas in hawaii. In had great fight scenes, and never jumped the shark. Jeffrey Meek was great. He hasn't done anything since except Rayden in the Mortal Kombat show. The opening music was awesome, really set the scene.
Raven is in her early 20's yet she plays a 15-16 year old. What's the thing with those facial ticks and nose twitching?
She needs to play a woman not some dorky teen age girl. Besides she's got a bod, that she tries to cover up, just makes her look fat. She's ready to do a nude scene in a real movie

Raven is a gifted comedianne. Of course some of these situations are farfetched but this is a farce, not to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, this show has gone on too long (I hope it's not still on.) Raven is over 20, now and it's time to go on to adult roles. I think the shark jump was when the mother disappeared. It's hard to make the transition from Disney to the adult world, but if anyone can do it, she can.
I've seen the whole series recently, not having seen it before and really enjoyed it. I disagree with the comment about Lee Majors being creepy. His comic role actually made the series for me and he was a good foil to the main star. Have to say, even padded up to look bloated Lee Majors still looked good and fanciable. There's a scene where he is drugged, unable to walk or stand and it's a hoot!
This show never jumped for me. I remember watching this show when I was 11 years old and at that time, I was taking Kung Fu lessons. I was truly amazed at how Jeffrey Meek (the actor who plays Jonathan Raven)has combined his good acting skills with his martial arts. Pretty cool to see him do some serious butt-kicking! Kinda wished this show could have lasted longer than one year for which it was scheduled. Or better yet, show some reruns of it.
The show jumped when Raven was being chased by a generic Japanese bad guy who jumps him in a mall that just happens to have a branch of Samurai Swords "R" Us. The bad guy gets thrown through the window and we get treated to a major sword/martial arts fight, but no one (including the owner of the store whose front window just got trashed and whose merchandise just got stolen) thinks to notify mall security until the fight is over.
