Joel Mchale is excellent in this show. I think the talk soup (or the soup as it's now called) has a sticky problem about how often it should be aired.
When Kinnear and Henson had it, it worked ok on a daily basis, but seemed a bit strained sometimes. It was probably hard to get an interesting 1/2 hour or hour daily.
In the format they now use with Mchale, it could probably work with a 2 or 3 times a week format. Just not everyday.

Kinnear was da man!!! Everyone paled in comparison after he left. He was also the best looking host of the show!!!
I loved john henson and was sad to lose talk soup!, but I am now even more pleased to see Joel Mchale, who is literally killing me every week on The Soup. Love this show !
gotta say McHale is brillant! Henson was the perfect host with the material at that time and crew interaction --- RIP Senior Sock!
Never watched Tyler and Sparks should stick to making me laugh on those mindless "I Love the ....." on VH1.
Long live the Soup and F all the celebs who dont think their shite stinks like the common man's!

I think that Joel McHale is the best host this show has seen for ages. "The Soup" is consistently the funniest show on the air and it isn't afraid to take on pompous windbags like Oprah, Tyra, or those annoying blabbermouths on "The View." Of course, it's also funny to have Joel skewer lesser-known, but equally as idiotic shows such as "The Girls Next Door," featuring the mega-moronic Kendra, and virtually every teen angst-ridden show that MTV foists upon America. Keep up the good work Joel! This is what SNL would be if they had talent!
I don't think Aisha killed The Soup; Hal Sparks did. He wasn't very funny and seemed to get more out of the joke than the audience. I liked him in things he did post-Talk Soup, but not on the show.
Aisha was no John Henson, but I enjoyed watching her.
It's great to see that it was able to come back in its new incarnation. E lost too many of its good shows, so it's good to see it again

Henson....very funny
Sparks....ok, but wimpy
Tyler....awful-ALF was a better host
McHale....pretty darn good. Show has jumped back after Aisha killed it singlehandedly
