This was one of the best shows on tv, the writing was great, and the ensemble of actors was amazing. It was a really bad idea to put it on after Lost, most people don't want to watch two plot heavy shows in a row.

If it must be canceled, ABC should at least give us a two hour finale to wrap everything up. In this day and age, with DVD's, they'll make their money back.

Never jumped!!!
Worst...show....ever. Well, it's in the running with The Black Donnellys. Don't get me wrong, the premise seemed decent and I was praying for it to go somewhere, but after about the 2nd or 3rd episode, it became a real chore to watch this show.

Honestly, where were they going with this? I don't care about the development of these characters because honestly it had little to do with the experience they all suffered through. Yes, I gained insight into the characters, their motivations, etc, etc....and for what exactly!? What was I supposed to do with that information? I think I was looking for some plot...yes, I believe that's what they call it. Other than seeing these characters go through their daily lives after their collective traumatic experience, I failed to see what the writers were trying to do. Was the whole thing a conspiracy? Were they all in on it? Do I care yet? Really, just pointless and heading nowhere.

Fox's Vanished had more charisma and depth than this show to the point that I'd beg to watch that rather than suffer through ever being exposed to The Nine again. At least Vanished had the balls to kill off the main FBI agent (who may have been the worst cast character in the history of television -- I found greater redeeming qualities about his character when he died)....and sure the plot got a little crazy with the giant conspiracy (clearly the writers were grasping at straws), but it was going somewhere and a resolution was on the horizon. I'm happy to join you on your journey....as long as you can promise there's an end in sight. Unfortunately, The Nine probably could have gone on forever never having anything poignant to say about the bank robbery -- and it would have taken about 5 seasons to get through a retelling of the ordeal at the bank....PASS!

Frankly any show entitled "The number" is doomed (i.e. The 4400...bleecchhh). Thank God that one is off the air!
I have NO idea why this show was cancelled. It was really good. They were supposed to show all the shows that they had recorded. They brought the show back but only showed 2 episodes then put some racecar crap on in the time slot......PUHLEEZE!!!!! Anyway....I caught 4 more episodes "on-line" on the ABC site. So I got to see everything that was filmed. However, like all good shows that are "new", it leaves a lot of unanswered questions. Just loke when the cancelled TRAVELER. For crying out loud - give us watchers / fans an ending!!!!! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK
