Shark Bytes

Last season it was walter or henrey. Then it was Henry or Gio. Next it will be gio or some other nerdy-cool guy.

I like this show, but I don't like that Henry's character has changed so drastically.

the first season was very cute and entertaining. but the second? eh...predictable jokes, over the top shenanigans and incredibly campy (and i'm not opposed to camp, in small doses). i supposed that's the "cartoonish" quality of it but it is more distracting than entertaining and i'm just not sure what they can do to keep it from becoming stale if it's season two and i'm already pretty sure what is going to happen.

I don't know why I like Ugly Betty--It's funny at times--It has some dumb parts (writers falling asleep at the switch?) One thing for sure--I want to sue someone for not airing the program
on Thursdays--it's the only show and the only time I watch tv. Who wants to
watch more violence (Lost)--Betty takes
my mind of the real world--but unfortunately, not long enough.

I love Ugly Betty! I didn't watch it in the beginning because I didn't like the title. I got to watching it and I love it. I love the shallowness of some to the characters, but then some of them can turn around make you empathize with the character, especially with Daniel.

With this show, I have cried, gasped and cried "Oh Sh*t!" what the twists and turns of the plot. I keep coming back for more and wish the writer's strike would get over so that we can have the rest of the season.

Here in Vietnam, we get the show about a year later than it originally aired in the States. The title might not grab you at first but it doesn't take much to get hooked on the show. We just got the last episode of the first season and I cried when the sister's new husband was killed in the convenience store robbery. This isn't a funny series by any stretch of the imagination. I haven't seen anything to make it jump the shark yet.

Cute show, and how can you not like America Ferrera's portrayal as Betty? She is soooooooooo likeable (and cute).
Most of the other actors give good performances too, even though their characters are pretty much one dimentional, that fits into the cartoonish quality of the show itself.

True Lela.Ugly should be used to describe a person on the inside,not the outside I think.However that way we have far more ugly people in the world than we now think.It's a good show although I'm no huge fan.Love the lead.

but you got to remember this is a remake of Univision's Betty Fea "Ugly Betty", good show but it jumpped when they had betty officially running the business and became hot

OK...I luvs my Betty, but what UP with "Betty sees dead people." That is sounding like maybe she may just be jumping. In one episode, whe even sees her past "purer" self. Gag!

JTS when it became one big ad and dialogue was written just to sell things.
One episode was fully written around promoting a musical and the most recentn episode tried to sneakily put in repeated glowing references to a film coming out soon (who I won't dignify with more publicity by mentioning). I didn't even notice at first until the 1rst commercial break where they then aired an ad for the movie!
