I thought season 6 with Lorelai was the worst. And then the whole Luke/Christopher/Paris mess. Of course, Rory was a total slut throughout.
Come to think of it, all 7 seasons sucked.

Halfway through season 6 with that whole stupidity of Luke having a daughter, then not telling Lorelai, then making this daughter an excuse to postpone the wedding, it was nothing like him. And Lorelai? Getting all mad because Luke had a daughter... Then sleeping with Christopher seconds after having an argument with Luke. This made me hate her and call her a slut. Totally out of character.
Then season 7 was a total disaster. Such a shame, thank God she ended up with Luke, that's the least they could do it, even though in real world, Luke would have to be a moron to take her back.

I agree with everyone who said the show JTS when Luke found out he had a daughter and then didn't tell Lorelai about it. That wasn't like Luke at all. And then Lorelai being self centered about the fact that Luke didn't tell her, that wasn't the Lorelai Gilmore we had seen for 5 seasons. And don't let me get started on the whole Christopher/Paris/marriage thing. While I can watch the first five seasons over and over again, I don't think I've even opened up season 6 and 7. I say it JS halfway through season 6. And that saddens me because this is one of mt favorite shows
I never got this show--2 yentas yammering away at one another constantly. I can't understand how the audience was supposed to believe that ANY guy could stand to be in the same room with either one for more than 30 seconds.
I do agree that they shouldn't have brought Jess back. But his treatment of Rory is realistic of how a lot of young are sometimes treated in relationships. And Dean and Rory really wasn't going to work out.
For all you Jess fans out there, I really believe you are doomed to have failing, miserable relationships. To say he was right for Rory is saying that someone who ditches you twice and treats you like crap is the right person for you. She left the sweet, sensible Dean for a guy that couldn't treat his girlfriend with respect. And when he forced himself on her and basically almost "raped" her at that party... disgusting.
To me, Jess was the reason this show may have jumped.

Seriously I liked this show, but hated Lorelai. Does she ever stop dissing on everything? And a single mom that can afford a house, go out to dinner all the time, expensive coffee, and wear nice clothes? yeah right. Ir also bugs that they are always eating and making fun of people who work out, yet they can stay skinny. No one can eat as much as they do without working out and stay that thin. Not realistic.

My mom's single and we have a nice house, go out to dinner a lot and have nice clothes. Loreli owns a hotel. Yeah, I'm pretty sure she's raking in cash. And seriously, what TV is realistic?

This show jumped the shark every week about 25 seconds into the show when Laurilie opens her mouth only to spew some stupid sarcastic comment. 95 % of what comes out of her mouth is sarcasm. As if mothers and daughters speak this way to each other ... this is one ridiculously stupid show!!!
Charlie
Uh, news flash Charlie, everyone is sarcastic. Maybe you're as funny as suicide but everyone else seems to like sarcasm. And "ridiculously"? No one says that. This show is awesome. Although it jumped the shark when they said "Last episode" and then went on with another season

First of all, though nobody seems to dwell on this, Kirk is great. Every time he appears on screen I find myself LOL.
The writers really dragged these characters through weird twists and relationaships all the time, and this can be annoying. But the character of Lorelai I find pretty interesting - smart-assed and cocky most of the time, but with sensitivities and flaws that come through every once in a while under stress.
I'd vote for Never Jumped.

My girl loves this show and I've been enjoying watching it with her, while some people just see the show being chatty you are clearly too dense to actually listen to people, Thanks to Star War prequels you need actors to say their emotions outloud so you know whats going on.
These women are very easy on the eyes and the show is full of social commentary.
She just finished watching season 6 today and so far Luke Getting a daughter out of nowhere is a possible JTS.
However I think this show could retain ratings still, honestly who over 17 watchs the CW?

I thought Gilmore Girls was a brilliant show. How, could the critics have been raving about it for so long if it sucked. I do however, believed it jumped. I think it was the 6th season finale.
I liked this show the first 3 seasons, then Rory went off to college, Loreli opened the Dragon fly that's when this show jumped. ok when Jess moved into town the show jumped.. when Loreli's fat ugly friend got married that JTS. And every episode hearing that annoying guitar "La La La" music in the background ugh! this show jumped too many times to count that's why it not on the air anymore. Ha!
I love this show! All 7 seasons. Never jumped for me. The scriptwriting is wonderful, all the characters in Star's Hollow are amazingly colorful and unique, my favorite of whom being Lorelai.
I don't see why anyone would stop liking it... unlike every other stupid show I watch, GG has always been consistently written well, never becoming boring or cliche, or an annoying parody of itself. I'll always love it.
